Murder City Media is a radical media collective founded in September of 2023 in response to the historic strikes by the United Auto Workers. MCM’s founding members had spent some time working in media in some capacity. But, when we saw the historic collective action opposing all three of the major US car makers that we have always associated with Michigan’s radical working-class history, we knew this was the time to try to make new media for these exciting times. The members of MCM and our contributors hope to provide our audience with Detroit-based news about the issues that impact all of us in the Rust Belt. Whether it is video and interviews from the front lines of the class struggle, news from contributors nationwide, radical cultural critique, comedy, philosophy, and whatever else the future may hold.
